Student sources say that no information is available on the fate of 50 students who were “kidnapped” from Tehran University.  It is said that a number of arrested students had been injured in the streets, leading to increasing concerns about their health and fate.  Meanwhile, a student who was killed during the attack of plain-clothed forces on the Tehran University dormitories was buried in the city of Yasooj.

Fifty-seven law professors and attorneys issued a statement calling for the punishment of “aggressors to the holy vicinity of university campuses and dormitories in cities across the nation, especially the Tehran University dormitories, and forces responsible for the beating of students.”

Advar News website belonging to a large student group, released the names of several students who have been detained in recent days, which includes, Alireza Khoshbakht and Zahra Towhidi, starred student activists, Musa Saket, president of the Azerbaijan branch of the Iranian Alumna Organization, Hamed Iranshahi, member of the Advare Tahkim Vahdat’s strategic committee and Payman Aref, a suspended University of Tehran student currently serving his mandatory military conscription and training. 

These recent developments take place as many students who fell victim to attacks by security agents attack are under special supervision in hospitals and reportedly in critical condition.  In addition, the body of Nasser Aminnejad, an aerospace engineering PhD candidate who was killed during the attack by plainclothes officers at Tehran University was buried on Saturday in the city of Yasooj, in western Iran.
