Despite reports of Kian Tajbakhsh's release from prison, Judge Haddad announced that Tajbakhsh remains in prison until he meet's the court's bail requirement. Last week, a one billion rial [about $112,000 U.S.] bail was set for Tajbakhsh's release. Judge Haddad did not explain why Tajbakhsh had not posted the bail amount yet.

Judge Haddad, who oversees the security branch of the Revolutionary Court, also announced that the cases of Haleh Esfandiari and Parnaz Azima will be scheduled for trial soon. Haleh Esfandiar's case is being scheduled for trial even though Esfandiari left Tehran two weeks ago for Washington, DC. Nevertheless, Judge Haddad announced that investigations are ongoing regarding Esfandiari's case. Judge Haddad made these remarks despite the fact that political prisoners are usually kept in prison until investigations are completed and a bail amount is set.

Officials at the judiciary continue to make contradictory remarks about the condition of individuals arrested in the past few months. For instance, Judge Haddad announced that the former chief nuclear negotiator, Hossein Mousavian, is not yet convicted of espionage, even though websites close to the government and judiciary have accused Mousavian of engaging in various acts of espionage.

In another instance, Judge Haddad denied that several other individuals have been arrested in relation to Haleh Esfandiari and Hossein Mousavian's cases, even though various officials had previously confirmed such arrests.
